Building a Better Future Through Tech Education – OV Dinner Featuring Passerelles Numériques Vietnam
On Friday, June 6th, 2025, at 7:30 PM, the Overseas Vietnamese (OV) community in Saigon organized with WisePass a special OV dinner. The OV Dinner shined the spotlight on Passerelles Numériques Vietnam, an NGO working to reduce poverty through access to technology and education.
Held at the stylish Vesper Gourmet Lounge, this event delivered on a delicious dinner.
A Mission Rooted in Impact
The guest of honor, Duc Ha Duong, President of Passerelles Numériques Vietnam (PNV), shared the organization’s mission to empower underprivileged youth through rigorous training in digital and web development. PNV doesn’t just teach skills—it transforms futures. Many students enter the program from backgrounds of economic hardship, earning as little as $40 per month. Through intensive education, mentorship, and hands-on experience, graduates have the potential to increase their incomes by up to 10 times.
Joining Duc was Hiep Bui, a proud graduate of the program who now works in tech. His story is a testament to what’s possible when talent meets opportunity. Hearing firsthand from someone who has lived the PNV journey provided powerful insight into the real-world impact of the organization’s work.
A Conversation That Matters
The evening will be moderated by Trang Nguyen, who works at Grab on a regional level and is known for her deep commitment to impact-driven initiatives. Her thoughtful questions and personal insight into Vietnam’s tech ecosystem will enrich the fireside chat, bringing out stories of both challenge and triumph.
This event is part of the broader OV community’s efforts to reconnect with Vietnam, not only culturally but also through meaningful contributions. It highlights how returning Overseas Vietnamese are supporting the next generation by sharing resources, networks, and time.
