Explore Your City Edition 5 concentrated on bringing your experience with beer to the next level, through tasting different high-quality beers to experiment with your tastebuds.

The most recent Explore Your City event took place on Thursday the 14th of July at the enchanting Chill Phet Beer Cafe in District 1. This venue possesses a charming atmosphere, enhanced from its dynamic use of levels through elevated platforms, giving you the chance to observe from the skies. WisePass invited subscribers and their friends to join in with the evening, accompanied by live music and delicious beer!

What is Explore Your City?

The Explore Your City event series is an exciting chain of events powered by WisePass with the goal of introducing you to more locations around your city, focusing on discovering hidden gems in Ho Chi Minh City.

WisePass subscribers could enjoy Beck’s Ice beers for 3 PASS per bottle from 7:30pm til late as well as participating in the variety of activities available. WisePass partner’s Leffe and Steersman Brewery provided appetising beer for guests to try.

What happened at the event?

The beer garden venue included performances from talented musicians such as rising rap star ​​Tọi and Gabbie, adding to the relaxed ambience. However, the atmosphere quickly took on a competitive edge once the games were announced; split into small teams of around 3 to tackle the challenge in front of them.

With a variety of quality beers with a multitude of tastes and underlying tasting notes, this proved an obstacle to some! Steersman Brewery’s craft beers each individually have dominating flavours, with more subtle tasting notes. Of their three beers available to taste in the games, the tasting notes ranged from sweet honey, to decadent coffee and caramel, to refreshing mango and lime!

Only the more experienced beer drinkers amongst the crowd could truly refine their senses to accurately assign the flavours to each specific beer - the prize for the beer tasting game was a free subscription to WisePass to further enjoy the benefits of drinks and more! This activity was not only lighthearted fun, but also gave everyone involved a fantastic opportunity to network and meet people outside of their social circle.

Also sponsoring this event with their delicious treats were The Brownies Saigon, providing tasty treats to WisePass subscribers and fuelling the competitive energy of beer pong, where guests battled for a top prize of a luxury five-star hotel getaway. 

The beer pong game was given an extra edge once the prize was announced; some of the cups had to be targeted twice as they were only filled with water to begin with, increasing the already competitive nature of the game.
